Wills Point ISD students Cole Ondrusek and Tanner Spindle advanced to the state fishing tournament with the Grand Saline High School Bass Association (GSHSBA). “Lake Tawakoni wasn’t sharing its treasures with this tournament easily,” said a GSHSBA spokesperson.

Mike D. Jones and his wife, Kristie, have three adult children.

Wade Emerson, 56, and his wife, Pam Rankin Emerson, have two children: Cassie (Tyler) McDaniel and Kylie (Garrett) Simmons. Emerson is a 1986 graduate of Wills Point High School and is employed as an electrician and in concrete construction.

Kyle Ward, 32, and his wife, Sariana Lovelady, have two children: Landon Ward and Remy Ward. Ward graduated from high school before attending trade school for one year.

Kristy Petersen, 38, is the mother of two children: Kadyn and Kason. She is a college graduate and owns multiple businesses.

The Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative (TVEC) Charitable Foundation awarded a grant March 26 in the amount of $2,000 to the Texas Star Quilters Guild. The TVEC Charitable Foundation is funded by donations from Operation Round Up.
