The Republican Women of Van Zandt is scheduled to meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday, April 15 for networking followed by a meeting at 6 p.m.

Easter at Bright Star Baptist Church will begin at 9:45 a.m. Easter Sunday, March 31.

The Wills Point Chamber of Commerce will host a free event titled ‘Eclipse on the Bricks,” from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

I must confess I have always wanted to be part of a studio audience and see first-hand what goes into the making of a television episode. So, when I saw a chance to be part of an audience for the new Dr. Phil Primetime show filming in Fort Worth, I responded. I took along my daughter-inlaw Catie to be part of the adventure.

This past weekend, I joined my friends on the tree covered grounds of the Top Rail Cowboy Church in Greenville for our Fifth Annual Spring Outdoor Rendezvous. A few years, long time radio personality and good friend, Friendlee Buffington, and I were visiting about starting an outdoor spring event in Hunt County and the idea of the Luke Clayton’s Spring Rendezvous was born.
